JORD Watch Manicure with OPI GelColor Tiramisu For Two

JORD Wood Watch Review

Hi NaiLovelies!

I have another brand new post to show you today and it's a special one as the lovely people over at JORD Wood Watches recently contacted me to review a stunning natural wood timepiece from their collection.

After much deliberation due to the huge amount of choice on the JORD website and Instagram feed, I chose the Fieldcrest in Zebrawood & Maple.  There are lots of styles and wood types/colours to choose from.

Now that you've seen a few close up pictures, below is a picture of me wearing the Fieldcrest watch.  I absolutely love the large face the watch has.  It is so fashionable and gives a real essence of coolness to any outfit.

Please check out my full review of watch over on Simply Into My HAIR to see lots more photos.

I am not one for the whole matchy matchy thing, I much prefer to go with manicures to compliment rather than trying to be a carbon copy of something else I am wearing.  I often wear gel polish so I like my manis to compliment lots of my outfits.  For the most part, I like to keep things elegant or striking but always very wearable with a suitable dash of fashion thrown in for good measure.

So in keeping with my personal style I went for a manicure that I think does just that.

My favourite colours are black and pink, so I decided to pair some striking black stamping over the pink toned nude from the OPI Venice collection, Tiramisu For Two.  I then pulled the two colours together by using Mundo De Unas Copper to stamp autumnal leaves over the top, which I think goes very well with the organic nature of the watch.

I made this short video which shows how I created the manicure.

I used the two LeaLac stamping plates below for the images which were stamped onto the nails.

I love how this manicure turned out, I can't stop looking at it and I think it is one of my favorite recent manicures, even though it was rather simple to achieve.  I think it goes perfectly with my new watch and in a few days, I can remove the stamping and put a new design over the GelColor base colour.

A2Z Series - A Is For 'Angles'

Hi NaiLovelies!

I am super excited to be taking part in a fab nail bloggers A-Z challenge for the next 26 weeks!!!

Along with the company of such an awesome nail bloggers, I am looking forward to getting stuck into this new challenge and stretching my creativity whilst gaining some new artistic skills along the way....

Today is the first day of the alphabet challenge and the prompt for this week is Angles.

I am still wearing my IBD Retro Rosette manicure so to create this manicure I decided to stamp some interesting angled images on my nails.  I used two different image plates from my stash, MoYou XL Explorer 14 on my ring and index fingers then LeaLac LLC- B plate for my middle finger and pinky.

My favorite go-to black polish for stamping is Wet 'n' Wild Black Creme.  It flows onto the stamping plate and nails perfectly and it has a slim brush which is excellent to use when creating nail art.  The formula is thin but incredibly opaque so it takes just one coat to cover pretty much any colour underneath.  I used the Wet 'n' Wild Black Creme for both the stamped images and the black painted sections which I created by using simple striping tape.

I'm really pleased with how this quick manicure turned out!

Below is a picture of the manicure taken before I added the matte topcoat.  In the photos I prefer it shiny but in real life it looks awesome mattified.

Which do you prefer?
