Freckles Polish Swatches & Review

Hello everybody, I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! I have some new Freckles Polish shades to show you today - two shades from each of the following collections: "Holiday Destinations" and "Happy Hour Holos Part 2", so shall we have a look?

"The White Isle"

"The White Isle" is from the "Holiday Destinations Collection". It is a bright, crisp white crelly base with black and neon pink matte glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes - squares, hexes, even rectangles! The formula is perfection. The white base is really nicely opaque in two coats whilst still allowing the bits to be seen through. Really easy to apply, it wasn't thick or gloopy and the ratio of bits to base is perfect - no fishing or placement required yet not too overcrowded as to make it too "dry" and clumpy. I applied two coats for my swatches and finished with top coat.

"Fijian Paradise"

"Fijian Paradise" is also from the "Holiday Destinations Collection". It is predominantly a gold glitter in a clear base, with a scattering of other colours in there too - I can see coppery pink, green, blue, and what looks to me like holographic glitters - it is quite complex! This variety of shades gives it great depth. Formula is lovely. The glitter is really well suspended in the base and very easy to apply. I applied two somewhat generous coats on their own and as you can see there is only a very feint hint of VNL. You could wear it like this for a really glitzy, glam look or layer it over another colour - it's entirely up to you. It dried just a tiny bit rough, but top coat smoothed it out nicely. As mentioned, my swatches show two coats of Fijian Paradise and one of top coat.

"Long Island Iced Tea"

"Long Island Iced Tea" is from the "Happy Hour Holos Part 2 Collection", and as with part one of this collection which was released previously, the polishes are all inspired and named after different cocktails. This is a really unique, inspired shade - it is a slightly dirty golden holographic with a subtle pinkish sheen to it in certain lights. Formula as I have come to expect from Freckles Polish holos is an absolute joy. It is fluid yet well pigmented, easy to apply, and gets on with regular base coat - no need for an Aqua Base or similar here. Top coat does dull the holographic finish initially but it only take a few minutes to return. Swatches all show two coats with top coat.

"Purple Rain"

"Purple Rain" is also from the "Happy Hour Holos Part 2 Collection". It is a dusty, medium blue-toned purple holographic. As with "Long Island Iced Tea", the formula was perfect - well pigmented but not thick or sticky whatsoever. Also dulls upon initial application of top coat but the holo soon returns. Swatches all show two coats with top coat.

I know I seem to be gushing in this review but it is actually difficult not to. For me, these four polishes are total winners. Flawless formulas and some really unique, inspired shades. They will be available to purchase from the Freckles Polish Etsy Store on the 27th June. You can also find out more info on the Freckles Polish Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.

Thanks for reading, and come back again soon :) x
