I'm back again with another swatch from the IBD Floral Metric collection. This gorgeous blue is called Hippie Dippie and yep - it's another great polish from this outstanding collection!
Dusty blue
Floral Metric
Creme
I found this one was a little prone to pooling so I did have to flash cure a bit as I went along.
Two coats to reach full opacity
Hippie Dippie caught my eye when I first saw this collection. The tone of blue is such an incredibly easy one to wear as it is in no way an in your face shade. It is beautiful and perfect for autumn and summer alike.
I have recently developed a new found love of blue polish and this one reminded me of an OPI Gelcolor polish called Suzi Says Feng Shui which is a gel polish that has been on an off my wish list for over a year and a half. When a reader mentioned the similarity of the two colours (I think Hippie Dippie is a perfect couple of shades darker), well I was even happier that this is now in my collection because apparently the formula of SSFS is a known shrinker. I did catch Hippie Dippie creeping into my sidewalls and my cuticle line on occasions, but it wasn't too bad and flash curing solved the problem. I did have to work harder with Hippie Dippie than I did with the likes of the stunning Retro Rosette and Eye Poppie but it was really not to the extent where it would read curtains for this one remaining in my collection.
I very rarely purchase entire collections but the Floral Metric collection has indeed come pretty close. I will be keeping each and every one of these polishes in my collection because they are stunning and like pretty much every IBD polish they apply and wear incredibly well!
