Hello friends! Today I have some polishes from Flash Nails, a UK indie brand creating artisan nail polish, to show you. They are both from the upcoming Chrsitmas collection, which will be released this Friday, 21st November 2014.
Let's take a look!
Flash Nails "Feeling Festive"
"Feeling Festive" is a medium green shimmer base with small red and medium gold hex glitter, all the traditional Christmas colours mixed into one polish! The formula was really very nice, which surprised me of such a polish. The shimmery base was pigmented enough to cover my nail with two coats, yet still allowed the glitter particles to shine through. It was fluid but easy to control and apply, and dried relatively quickly. Swatches show two coats with top coat.
Flash Nails "Glitter All The Way"
"Glitter All The Way" is a clear-based glitter topper with red, greed, and gold glitters, all uniform in shape and size. I love these kind of polishes, they are really versatile and while unavoidably festive, I would still wear this year-round. Formula was excellent, the base was nice and springy which meant the glitter particles were very well suspended, no gloopiness and not too runny either. Good density and dispersion of glitter, no fishing required. Easy application, quick drying. The swatches above show one coat of "Glitter All The Way" over a black base, with top coat. You could wear this over many different colours, or even build it up with three or four layers on its own if you wish. The picture below is an example of what it looks like over a white base, which is how I would personally wear this polish. Again, one coat of "Glitter All The Way" over white, with top coat:
I am very impressed with these two polishes from Flash Nails. The formulas were both pleasant and easy to work with, and they are both totally festive polishes.
As I mentioned at the start of this review, these two polishes and the rest of the Christmas collection will be available on the Flash Nails Etsy Store on Friday 21st November. You can also keep up to date with Flash Nails on their Facebook page.
Thanks for reading, and come back again soon :) x
