Stellar Polish Swatches & Review Bonanza!

Hey guys! I have a majorly picture-heavy post for you today featuring some wonderful Stellar Polish shades! There are nine in total, and I have divided them into two groups - five scattered holo shades and four glitter topper shades.

We'll start with the scattered holographics!

"Sail!"

"Sail!" is named after a song by Awolnation. It is a vivid aqua blue shimmer with fine scattered holographic glitter. Formula is incredibly well pigmented and quite thick, but not gloopy or stringy, which made it very easy to apply - it went exactly where I put it, no dripping, pooling, or flooding. Due to the nature of the components which make up this polish, it dried a little bit gritty, but a good top coat will smooth it out (or you could leave it without top coat for a pretty slightly textured look if you wanted to). Swatches show two coats & top coat.

"Iron Sky"

"Iron Sky" is named after a song by Paolo Nutini. It is a deep, rich, velvety indigo blue with scattered holographic glitter. Same intensely pigmented formula as "Sail!". This one doesn't dry quite as gritty. Swatches show two coats & top coat.

"Courage And Control"

"Courage And Control" is named after a song by Brandon Boyd. It is a bright scarlet/magenta shimmer with scattered holographic glitter. Again, very well pigmented and slightly gritty. Swatches show two coats & top coat.

"It Ends Tonight"

"It Ends Tonight" is named after a song by All American Rejects. It is a very pretty dusty bluey lilac with scattered holographic glitter. This was also very well pigmented and easy to apply. This one dried the least gritty of all. Swatches show two coats & top coat.

"Strong"

"Strong" is named after a song by London Grammar. It is a lilac toned pink shimmer with scattered holographic glitter. As with all the others, this was very densely pigmented and thick, yet still - again - easy to apply. This one dried the grittiest (although by no means rough), so you may want to apply a thicker top coat, or two layers of top coat, or as I suggested previously, you could leave it on its own for a really pretty light textured look. Swatches show two coats & top coat.

"Saturday Night"

"Saturday Night" is named after a song by Whigfield (which just so happened to be the soundtrack to my final year of Primary School - oh the memories!). It is a clear-based glitter topper with neon shades of pink, blue, red, yellow, and green stars, hexes and squares. The bits aren't packed in terribly densely so I had to do a little bit of fishing, but with there being quite a lot of base it was easy to apply and move the bits around on my nails if necessary. Dry time was good. Pictures show two coats over a light blue & top coat.

"One"

"One" is named after a song by U2. It is a clear-based glitter topper with iridescent and pale blue hexes and fine silver glitter. Again, the particles aren't packed in too densely, which is perfect for such a delicate, ethereal polish such as this. I didn't have to do a full-on fish for particles but I did wiggle my brush around in the polish a bit before I applied it. This enabled me to get a good distribution of glitters. Dry time was good. Swatches show two coats over a pale blue & top coat.

"Two Princes"

"Two Princes" is named after a song by Spin Doctors. It is a glitter topper consisting of fine pinky copper shimmer and green glitter. Applies like a standard shimmer polish - lovely formula, good dry time. I chose to layer it over a black base, but you could apply it over many colours and get a different look each time I think. You might even get away with three coats on it own, but how you wear it is entirely your choice. As mentioned, swatches show two coats over a black & top coat.

"Drops Of Jupiter"

"Drops Of Jupiter" is named after a song by Train. It is a clear-based glitter topper with dots, stars, and squares in pastel shades of pink, blue, and lilac, and a scattering of silver holographic glitter. The particles are evenly distributed in the base and not too dense. I had to do a little fishing for the larger dots and stars, but it was very easy to apply and dry time was good. Swatches show two coats over a pale lilac & top coat.
