Hey everyone, Happy March! I'm hoping that spring comes sooner rather than later because I'm so sick of all this cold weather, I feel like I never really warm up anymore. Today I want to share a design with you that I was super proud of, I wore these for over a week and I must (shamefully) admit that I was throwing them under peoples noses. I think they were the kind of design that looked better in person because photos show up imperfections that weren't necessarily visible, but hopefully you still like them. These were half inspired by a bag I saw in a gift shop, and half inspired by just1nail (she gave me the idea to add florals to a fox design). I created these using all Barry M polishes, and as always they were flawless. See below for a full list of products used.

I used Barry M - Sky Blue for the base, then I used Barry M - Cotton and Barry M - Full Throttle mixed with Barry M - Turbo Charged for the foxes. The details were done using the white, pink and black nail art pens. And I used Barry M - Key Lime for the leaves. Finished with a coat of Barry M - Matte Topcoat.

Hey everyone! My first post of 2016, I'm excited to see what this year will bring for me and for my blog, but today I start with these super cute octopuses (yes I had to google the plural for octopus). It seems right to start the year with a design I'm super proud of. These were inspired by Julia Heffernan, more specifically this design she posted on Instagram. I knew straight away that I wanted to do a design based off it, I adapted it slightly but I tried to stay true to the design as much as possible. I hope you like them as much as I do. I posted on Instagram about how sad I was to take these off, I actually only got to wear them for around an hour before I had to move on to something else. But at least they will forever be immortalised with pictures!

I used Barry M - Cotton for my base, and then I outlined my octopuses with MASH - Black. 

Once dry I used Avon - Roses Are Red, OPI - Thanks a Windmillion, Barry M - Sky Blue, and OPI - Is Mai Tai Crooked? for the colouring of the octopuses, mixed with acetone to give them a gradient effect. 

Then I used OPI - Dont Mess With OPI for the leaves, and Deborah Lippmann - Walking on Sunshine for the yellow. Finished off with a coat of Seche Vite

Happy Halloween!! Hope you're all having a fun day, I've had an entire day trying to find a last minute outfit but I've had zero luck. Which will teach me to leave it until the last second. I'm ending up just wearing devil horns, even though I actually tried to make an effort this year, which is frustrating. Anyway, at least I can be a bit more Halloween-y with my nails. This year I went with these cute witch nails inspired by these nails by Laura Merino, which I've had saved in my 'inspiration' folder since last year. I really love how these turned out, I got a tonne of compliments on them, I think the colours made them stand out as Halloween nails.

I used a polish from the new Barry M Quick Dry collection* as my base, which is called Slip Stream*, a gorgeous Autumnal colour but also great for Halloween! Then I used OPI - Is Mai Tai Crooked? for my accent nails (which stained my nails even with a basecoat unfortunately).

For the detailing I used Barry M - Cotton, Barry M - Copa Cobana, Barry M - Espresso and Mavala - Pistachio. I finished with a coat of Seche Vite and added these studs from Born Pretty Store. Remember you can use my code KHL91 for 10% off

Hey everyone! Today I'm showing you a design I've been really excited to post ever since I did them, but I had to wait for them to go live on Divine Caroline first. It's been a while since I did any 'detailed' nail art as such, or at least did anything that wasn't a pattern/florals, or so it feels anyway. So I looked a bit further afield with these nails and came up with the idea of doing octopus nails. I must admit I winged them a little bit, but I was really happy with how these turned out and I wore them for over a week! If you want to see the tutorial on how to create these you can see it here
