Freckles Polish Swatches & Review

Hello friends, and happy Monday! Today's post features some new, soon to be released Freckles Polish shades. I have a couple from each of the following collections: "The Prank Call Collection", which is a fun collection of polishes, the names of which feature some humorous plays on words; and "The Christmas Collection", which should speak for itself! As always, details of where and when you can buy these polishes will be at the end of the post, so carry on reading!

Freckles Polish "Theresa Green"

"Theresa Green" (trees are green) is from the Prank Call Collection. It is a sumptuous jewel-toned green shimmer with a golden fleck shimmer running through it. It is slightly more golden-leaning than my photographs show. Formula was fluid but not runny or drippy, and easy to control. The first coat is a teeny bit sheer, but a second coat leaves a perfectly opaque finish. My swatches show two coats with top coat.

Freckles Polish "Drew Peacock"

"Drew Peacock" (droopy cock *sniggers*) is also from the Prank Call Collection. It is a stunning vivid, electrifying peacock blue shimmer. As with "Theresa Green", the formula was pleasingly fluid and easy to control, a little sheer after one coat but perfectly opaque with two. My swatches show two coats with top coat.

Freckles Polish "He's Been! He's Been!"

"He's Been! He's Been!" is from the Christmas Collection. It is a bright, pink-based red with the signature Freckles Polish holo finish - partly scattered, partly soft-linear. The formula was divine, as I have come to expect from all Freckles Polishes, but the holos in particular - it is well pigmented, fluid but not drippy, no stickiness or gloopiness, easy to control, and perfectly opaque with two coats. My swatches show two coats with top coat.

Freckles Polish "Put Up Your Christmas Tree"

"Put Up Your Christmas Tree" is also from the Christmas Collection. It is a deep forest green jelly with all kinds of glitter particles, including - as you can see - silver stars: it is pretty much liquid Christmas tree! The base is a little sheer so you may wish to apply it over a corresponding colour if you don't like applying too many coats/don't like a VNL. I had to do a little bit of fishing to get the stars out, and I made sure not to overwork it with my brushstrokes to avoid patchiness, but other than that application was straightforward and the drying time was good. My pictures show three coats with top coat.

My final thoughts on these polishes: as always with Freckles Polishes, inspired colours with wonderful formulas. Spot on!

These polishes and the rest from these collections will be available to buy on Friday 28th November 2014 from the Freckles Polish Etsy Store. You can also keep up to date with all news and new releases etc. via the Freckles Polish Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.

Thanks for reading, and come back again soon :) x
